Fiber & Arts
Foundation Camp
Fiber & Arts Foundation Camp is an excellent place to
start and return to year after year. During the week we introduce
knitting, weaving, spinning, felting and dyeing. A highlight
of the week is the day our master weaving teacher arrives with
table-top looms all warped and ready for our campers
to experience the fun part of weaving!
And that’s just the beginning! Campers learn new
techniques each year such as mosaic art, kumihimo braiding, punch
needle stitchery, hand sewing, fabric painting, basket and
bead weaving, French loop embroidery and working with clay.
Expect your child to pick up a skill entertain themselves in the
car on vacation!
Visits to the fiber-producing farm animals, fiber related
stories, supervised summer fun and making new friends round out
the week.
We start where the child is at and build on the skills
developed year after year. Small groups, our high teacher-camper
ratio, new projects and lots of individualized
attention assure a unique and enriching experience every time.
Fiber & Arts Foundation Camp is designed
for campers to attend multiple times. Spend
several weeks with us this summer and year after year.
